If for you to be happy is a healthy way of life, full of small details everyday of things you like, absence of worries and stress, living each day to its fullest, then I must say I am happy. If to that, you add the company of a wonderful woman who truly undertstands me, puts up with me, and completes my day by sharing with me her time, then I must say I am indeed, very happy.
Someone once told me that life is full of worries, ters and sad moments, we existed to suffer so we could gain eternal life afterwards. I have learned form experience that he was totally wrong, each of us makes our own life what it is, a valley of tears, or a valley of love. And I have chosen love.

It is truly how I feel, but thanks for your nice comment
No. Foreigner never am happy. Always so jealous China 5000 year history. Foreigner always secret say, "How I can harm 5000 year history?"
Me is real American guy New York City. But must say truth: I so jealous China. Chinese man so cool, foreigner man no cool.
yian:
I am exceedingly jealous of the Cultural Revolution, poor education, pollution, repression of peoples in some 'autonomous' regions, disregard for human rights ...and so forth. Wish I had all this stuff back home!

you definitely anti-chinese bias. You foreigner government lie to you
I love to be the everyday happiest one. Janada ren is me and I love China. I get together to eat dumplings in Spring Festival with my family. I have 3 people in my family. I like sleeping and to read a book.
As long as you embrace the little things in life, you can always find something to make you happy, even during the worst days.
i'm almost happy everyday, but today is the 2nd day i am not happy since the last one year.
Overall, I am happy. But the reality is on a daily basis, there are things that make me happy, smile, laugh. And there are things that anger me, annoy me, make me sad. Some of those things I can change, some are out of my control. It's a balance.
Without sadness, how can you truly know happiness?
The Serenity Prayer works for me in most occasions:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

My bad; sorry for the down vote, I meant to give it an up vote.
There is a lot of wisdom on the Serenity Prayer, one of my favorites.
Most of the time I am happy in China...but sometimes I let some things get to me.
I love not knowing what each day will bring, one crazy new experience after another. I sometimes love not knowing what crazy thing my gf will do or say from one day to another....sometimes it makes me happy, sometimes it will drive me insane.
Everyone here likes to talk about bad China days. I prefer to talk about good Chinese gf days and bad Chinese gf days. I think this day will be a good one.
I have a great lady who loves me. I left my old life full of earning more every year just to pay the bills. I now live in a country that while sometimes makes me wonder why it is the way it is, never fails to give me something to smile about every day. I have new and interesting friends and a mother in law that treats me and worries about me as though I were her own son. Yeah I'm happy
"To be happy" is a choice I made long ago. I'm still choosing it.
This is a refreshing thread. I like what woody said "at some point of everyday I am happy."
As much as things can get on your nerves, when we take time to take a step back and look at it all, we realize that sometimes we forget the good things that really make life the adventure we set out on.
Bobby McFerrin makes ma happy whenever I whistle, 'Don't Worry, Be Happy!'
