Q: Best way to get a favor from your school

My school is not social does not want anything to do with foreign teachers but I need to get a mentor for this certification program I am in back in the states. I found out once arriving I work for a company and not the school  directly. Not  sure if i should go to the school or company. Me and the company have exchanged words over their 18hrs in the contract not being based off teaching hours. So they are salty with me, just looking for tips on how to get what I need without pissing someone off or them suggesting taking my salary away ect for having to come watch my class for me to get certified.

When I was teaching I always refused to do extra classes for my full time employer unless I got extra money (250/h at least). If you complain most schools will propose you more rest at an inconvenient time as a "compensation", don't accept, only take extra money, RMB is the king in China.

Try to talk directly with the person in charge of monitoring/mentoring the new staff, don't ask anyone else to ask him for you because you will have to wait forever.

Can someone translate this into English?

Are you saying the favor was asking to do extra unpaid work?

And that they went along with it because you were accepting of them screwing you over on hours previously?

No thanks.

I will translate it gladly, if you show me L tit.

This is very similar to a question posted by another anonymous poster recently.

the local teachers not speaking to the foreign teachers is par for the course here. The only time they will actively speak to you is when they want to copy your material or for you to correct some English for them.

You say that you are 'outspoken and direct', then communicate, online and in person, to your company about this.

lack of clarity in the contact regarding anything will ALWAYS be in their favour, and they won't give a **** about you and your hours as long as they get a cut from the place you are working.

your best bet is, if you can not come to a more satisfactory solution, is to chalk this up to experience, and maybe find an 'out' that they have breached in the contract.

A:Your potential employer is right! Purpose of the Medical exam before granting Z visa is to make sure, you won't be entering China in any abnormal and harmful to others condition.Few days after your arrival to China, you'll be required to complete another ME ... If ME in China will be OK, you'll get a Residence permit stamp into your book some 10-days afterwards. Imagine, you're an employer, who can sponsor my entry and work in China, but after my arrival to China would be found I carry some sickness, which would prevent Chinese .gov to issue a Residence permit. Rule is: Z visa should be converted into Residence permit in 30-days after entry to China.    So, my advice is:"Complete ME in your home country and forward medical results to your employer".Z visa grant will follow shortly afterwards. Employer is not wrong at their demand for the pre-arrival ME from your home country hospital.   -- icnif77
