Q: Can I bring my game console back from the states?

Or are the cops going to take it at the airport? Not sure.

Which system?  I thought about doing this, but then I worried about having to transform the local 220v down to 110v for extended periods of time. What's your plan for this? I've got both a PS3 and a Gamecube collecting dust at the moment, that would definitely help pass some time here.  Unfortunately they are both 110v only (no dual voltage power source, like a laptop).

You can bring it, but barring the issues already mentioned, you won't be able to play the local pirated games unless you crack the system, but that will void your warranty and also your gamertag/any way to play online so that might not be worth it.

If you bring it to play your own games, you might not be thrill with the internet connection or that your online friends will be sleeping whenever you log on.

Depending on how long you're going to be here, might be more worth it to invest in a handheld if you swing that way. Or, go the whole hog and get a new system and crack it just for local use.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
