I don't know, if you can get international cashier's check in Chinese banks.

You could get first hand answer at the Bank, where you're holding an account.

In most Banks in China, there is somebody who speaks English.

I usually ask Bank employees for any, not really banking info I want. Addresses of Gov. institutions, and so on.

Last year, SPD Bank employee called FEB in Yingkou, Liaoning, and set up an appointment for me. She gave me their address, too! At the School I was working at that time, nobody understood what I am looking for.

I am guessing, if Chinese Banks don't deal with international cashier's checks, they'll for sure know how you could post money outside of China.  

Int'l money orders are a thing of the past thanks to the 419 scam. ICBC main branches used to cut certified cheques (checks fer you yanks) in eight different currencies. It's a lot of paperwork but I had to do it and it all worked out in the end (expect a delay for clearance once the receiver gets the certified cheques).

Short answer: yes.  Long answer: Go to your bank and ask.
