And I don't mean fan dancing or that slow motion yoga-taiqi meditative excuse for dancing.
I mean sensual, curve-twisting, empowered feminine type of dancing.
Some can some can't. By putting a person who dosnt know how to dance will be terrible at it and out right embarrassing. For those who practice no matter Chinese or whoever can dance. Not to say I havent been to a nightclub in China and seen some outright embarrassing dancing from Chinese girls who try to do some Beyonce type moves.
Many are too embarrassed to dance at all, but one of my friends can. She loves to dance, but I don't think she'd ever go to a club. This college has a dance club, and quite a few girls can dance.
Yes they can watch...you won't be able to debunk the myth all asian girls can dance
The ones I know that claim to know how to dance, what they really know is this competitive type dance shown on western TV shows mostly. I had a sad experience once, when a good friend tried to show me that she was an experienced Cha Cha Cha dancer, and when she started to dance I could not help it but laughed out loud. I think she is still mad at me.
While normal people usually dance cha cha following the music with sensual and continuous body movements, she was like a soldier making abrupt changes, moving arms and hands plus head all over the place in sharp type moves to achieve a final pose and then pause for a moment until the next one (and the music) caught up. I even tried to dance one tune to show her the differences, but she told me I did not know how to dance.
