Q: Is the designer make-up and perfume at markets all fake?

I've seen famous perfume like Chanel for sale at markets for as little as 10 kuai a bottle and products like L'Occitane hand cream and Dior mascara for 20 kuai or less. The packaging really looks like the real deal but I'm skeptical because they're so cheap. Is it possible that they're confiscated real items from airport customs? That's what I'm hoping....

Yes. If it's at a market and it's ridiculously cheap then it is a fake, guaranteed!

I give you my secret technique to realize if fake or not. Call the vendor, look at her in the eye with an inquisitive look, then ask her "why so cheap?". Most of the time the will look down left. It shows they are embarrassed. If they keep confident, then it's real.

Did I tell you about my 550RMB (supposed to be 700RMB) iPhone4? When it arrives in 10 weeks, it will be awesome.

yes some are fake and some are not depending where are you buying it from.... carefulness and understanding of the quality can make you save alot of money... but the entire products are not fake. chinese people are not that much innocent to be using fake expensive product without having objection for it... chinese government will take a bit of care for its people in this regard i guess. its corrupt but not entirely i guess.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
