Q: Do you need a blackbelt in order to teach a particular martial arts here?

I was wondering this for quite sometime as I know back home the requirement is for you to be of some degree of a black belt. Do you know the rules about opening up a dojo here if the belt rule applies here as well. I think the black belt rule is sort of like the degree for teaching or becoming an officer in the military. You have to first obtain that high mark in order for you to get that type of opportunity.

I'm not sure about how it is in China. Do you know?

It depends on the martial art involved.

For example, Savate (French) does not have belts, but colored gloves for rank.

Kung Fu does not use the belt system either.

Neither does Cappoeira (sp?) or MuyThai or Pentjak Silak.......

Well I honestly don't know. But I think to open up a training class you need to register in some department of the local government. You probably need to prove you can provide field, coaches, insurance, etc. The manager/owner of the training class maybe don't even  have to be an athlete. But he must hire qualified coaches. Maybe there are sports associations or something.

Used to go to a Taekwondo place for a little while. The coaches all obtained some degrees of a black belt. Even the assistants are black belts. ... Also used to know a girl who assisted coaching when she was only a green belt. Doesn't have to be that striict in small places, I suppose?

A:Your potential employer is right! Purpose of the Medical exam before granting Z visa is to make sure, you won't be entering China in any abnormal and harmful to others condition.Few days after your arrival to China, you'll be required to complete another ME ... If ME in China will be OK, you'll get a Residence permit stamp into your book some 10-days afterwards. Imagine, you're an employer, who can sponsor my entry and work in China, but after my arrival to China would be found I carry some sickness, which would prevent Chinese .gov to issue a Residence permit. Rule is: Z visa should be converted into Residence permit in 30-days after entry to China.    So, my advice is:"Complete ME in your home country and forward medical results to your employer".Z visa grant will follow shortly afterwards. Employer is not wrong at their demand for the pre-arrival ME from your home country hospital.   -- icnif77
