Q: Do you trust theme parks here? Would you go?

I used to love theme parks as a child but I have no intention of ever going to one in China. I just dont trust them in terms of safety. I also don't trust the staff who are supposed to ensure that everyone is strapped in and that everything's in order. The latest accident involving 3 people getting flung out of a ride in Xi'an, is just another reminder of the lax security here.

Maintenance never happens. I don't go on anything like that. A cab ride is enough of a rollercoaster.

Isn't all of China just a big circus. I see death defying feats all the time in China. Show girls every where. And then there is all the pretty lights at night.

I was quite keen to give our local one a go. I was persuaded otherwise.

Just as well because, a few days later, the roller coaster split and one woman died when it plummeted to the ground.

I went to one in Anhui... felt like I was going to die every second on that skyhammer thing. The bumper cars were really fun, though.
