I'm looking for some olive oil, i saw some chinese brand but I didnt try them yet...anyone?
If I had to choose between a chinese brand and a different brand I'd go with the different brand. Just my thoughts.....
You're Italian right. You will be disappointed. Also, most of the "olive oil" I have seen made in China is a mix of olive and some other oils. I usually buy olive oil in Macau or Hong Kong where it is possible to get good oil from the countries around the Mediterranean at decent cost. There is lots of importers though. Avoid those that bottle in China, I have seen several Chinese brands that are produced and bottled in Spain, Portugal or Italy.

thanks, yeah i guess so...besides, was wondering what kind of olive oil is using saizeriya, not that bad...
Scandinavian:
I think if you can handle the thought of the product not being 100% pure Olive, but maybe 75% Gutter Oil, 19% Sunflowerseed, 4% Peanut and 2% Olive, then go for the Chinese brands.
Buy imported olive oil from an import store. That's where I get my olive oil from and I've never had any quality or taste issues. The one I currently use is extra virgin from Spain. A 500ml bottle cost around 50 RMB.

I just checked and it's called Lungavita extra virgin olive oil. It was on sale when I bought it though so the non-sale price may be closer to 80 RMB or so.
Good experiences with olive oil?
I've had a few different substances applied during massages but I have yet to experience Chinese Olive Oil - is it recommended?
Always buy imported food (from reliable sources) when you can while in China. You don't even know if what they call olive oil is actually a mix of REAL olive oil with gutter oil. With what they can do with food using cheap chemicals, try to avoid local products as much as you can.
If you go to Carrefour you should be able to find Carapelli oil. If not, at least the spanish Ybarra. If still can't find. seach Taobao!
Never bought chinese olive oil, never will. Not even the one claimed to be made in whaterver Spain, Italy or other countries. It's not the 10 rmb difference in the price that make worth it for sure.

actually you can find carapelli in almost every lianhua supermarket here in hangzhou, and that is what im currently using. Need to check amazon and ebay again though, maybe I find something... Last week i tried ebay and they deliver me the stuff from UK within 3 days.!

peanut oil is just as good, the important thing is to use thick enough plastic sheets
METRO has real, imported Olive Oil. If you have a METRO in your city then go there.
What do you want to use it for? I make salad dressings like Caesar or oil and vinegar, I also put oil and garlic on pasta. Peanut oil is better for frying.
that is a thing now god what next.
just mail order some Australian avocado oil its better for you Anyways.
