Q: Does Chinese children have asthma?

According to what I know about breathing exhaust gas and other stuff in the air, this is a reason for getting asthma, especially for children. I just haven't met anyone that has talked about it? Or is asthma just called something else like Beijing Cough, or Harmonious Breathing ?

indecisionOh wow, Scand. What's your next question going to be? Does Chinese children ever get chicken pox? Come out asthma is a common thing around the world globally. Not all the children will get asthma, but there will be some that do. He he, I said: "globally" (Drunk!

Since 1990,, Chinese children from ages 0 to 14 depending on age bracket, are suffering from asthma at an alarming increasing rate.  Lowest area is Tibet, with around 1.1 %, and worst city is Hong Kong overall, buy in the 7 to 8 year bracket Beijing is worse than HKG.
In general, the East of China is a lot worse than the Western portion, which is understandable with the existing levels of pollution.
And another information I found was than 10 % of these kids do keep on having asthma attacks ALL of their lives, it does not stop at the teenager age.

Scandinavian:

the fact that it doesn't stop could easily be due to lack of proper exercise thanks to the awesomeness of the education system, the couple of friends I have who had asthma all come from homes where their parents where smoking, moving away from home and starting doing exercise cured them all, oh, one guy kept having asthma attacks until he stopped his inhaler medication.
