Q: is every town shutting down today? or just Beijing?

doesn't look like my home is ...  I went out already to check it out.

and if this isn't provocation, well, I don't know what is

And in Shanghai, an ice cream chain is giving away popsicles that resemble Hideki Tojo, Japan's wartime Prime Minister who was hanged

Wuhan seems fully operational, kind of just like a normal weekend.  I had wondered if everybody would stay at home to watch, but it's fast becoming apparent they would prefer to go shopping and take endless selfies while simultaneously posting nationalistic comments and photos on wechat.  Just the same old thing, it doesn't actually matter if you are doing something nationalistic, as long as everybody thinks you are.

The only difference I noticed is there are police, many with dogs, literally on every single corner.

My city's deserted.  I just walked home from work and the only car I saw was an empty taxi.  Only saw about six people walking.  So, um, creepy!  No horns blaring or people screaming, even a spot of blue in the sky.   If only it were like this every day.
