The situation is as follow. I will be working in an English training center until the end of August and starting the new job at the beginning of September. My new employer asked my to talk to my supervisor and ask her to cancel my FEC a month in advance before the end of my contract so that they can apply for my new FEC in the meanwhile. I'm still waiting for a response from my current job but I'd like to know if that is legit.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, this is a normal formality. Your new school must get the original form of your cancelled foreign expert certificate. I just went through this process. It should just be a piece of paper with a couple written lines and a stamp from your school. Your still legal because you have your residence permit so no worries. They need this to get your new FEC applied for and then they can apply for your new residence permit. Hope that helps. It's legit.
how old can you be to teach in china
GuilinRaf:
In most places, less than 60 years old.
Some places will ignore this if you provide your own insurance, but not all places do.
My school in Guilin ignored the age limit if you had your own insurace, my Beijing school does not.
Mine was not canceled. They just transferred it to Beijing.
not how old, but proof that you've been a teacher for 2 year. Age is no biggy
