If so, good job. Spend much?
If not, why not?
No, I didn't buy any presents, yet. I'm saving for shopping on low-tax Guernsey, in mid January.
Me and some friends are getting together for a Christmas Eve dinner, and then we are doing a secret santa gift exchange. 100rmb limit, Im giving a mini grill.
As for receiving, the company gave us a mini chia pet.
As always, every year ....
Socks and plastic spoon...
I did indeed.
I bought Royce a catheter directly hooked up to a bottle of Australian moonshine. It was delivered yesterday.
I bought Phil a condom for his mouth and a dictionary for his brain. They are still looking for a condom the size of the mouth. The dictionary will arrive tomorrow.
I bought NicholasPA a Ferrari made out of dinosaur turds. It will arrive from Torino tomorrow.
I bought Scandinavian a permanent hook-up to google in ancient Norse inserted into the left ear of a Swedish meatball.
I bought Hulk a hula skirt, size 50XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL, and a baseball cap for the head, size 0.
Kisses to all of you,
except Royce
Belle
i brought many small gifts from home with me to give to friends at Christmas.
i bought so many i am still wrapping!... there has got to be a better way!
I bought all my youngest students a gift. 38 items to be wrapped! I printed their picture and their name on a sticker attached to the gift.
I purchased a gift for each of the 5 Chinese assistants that help me during classes.
I attended two Christmas parties with a Secret Santa theme = 2 more gifts.
I ordered online gifts to my family in Australia.
If there is one thing I do like about living here is the amount of money spent on the Chinese gifts for the students, assistants and Secret Santas. 43 presents for about 300RMB. Trying doing that back home! While I admit the kids' gifts were pretty junky the others weren't.
I love Christmas!!
JacobJohn:
I like your spirit. Suddennely I had this feeling that it's Christmas indeed. Happy Christmas man.
Yep, bought something for each of the 30 folks working in my office. Always better to give than to receive.
None at all. I just didn't want since this day it's of no spiritual value to Chinese people.
royceH:
True enough but it's of little sriritual value to a great many of the rest of us as well.
That doesn't stop the commercial interests being the winners, however.
Peace to you JJ.
I bought gifts for each of my staff, each of my grown children in the US, and my grand children.
