Q: Have you ever lived, or know anyone that lives/has lived in those basement apartments?

I hope you know which ones I mean - they're often situated under apartment blocks and consist of a single room underground and a shared bathroom; very stuffy. I actually had someone show me around one of these places as I told him I was on a budget though didn't expect him to show me one of these!

I knew of one person that lived in that type of place. Not sure if they live there anymore, but yes I did. I heard it was really small, but cheap to rent. I never seen the inside of that basement apartment I just know one person who did actually live there once.

I can't imagine the infestation of cockroaches, spiders, lizards and other critters living in one of those dungeon apartments.  Not to mention the air quality, the chance it may flood in a rain shower, and the icky feeling it was once used for a mob interrogation or sex dungeon of some sort.

My sister had lived in a basement in Beijing in 2001.They are not as bad as people usually think them to be,though they are quite small indeed.
