Q: How did people only just realise Zhang Yimou had 7 kids?
Another member of the "elite" having way more kids than normal, 7 does seem quite a lot. But how is this only coming out now? I feel like 7 kids is hard to find. - How many did he pay the fines for? Just for the ones he had with is wife?
Zhang Yimou must have p******ed someone off, that is why it has come out. I am sure files are kept on people (i sound SO paranoid). But the 'elite' are sure to be watching each other closely.

Yup. The elite are highly paranoid. They will keep taps on each other so in case things start to look bleak they can take out the others.
And of course the guy would have bragged about how he has knocked up several women
