Q: How does Dragon Boat Festival works at your job?

The calendar shows this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are bank holidays in China. However, my employer (Private Public School in Guizhou)  told me I must make replacement this Saturday afternoon for Monday's morning classes.

Is it same at your job/school? Were you also required to complete Monday's classes on your free day, i.e. this Saturday?

I just don't believe my rep anything he says and I check every one of his statements twice ....

yeah, I had a few jobs here where we always made up for any holiday off.  It was a big standing joke, they 'give' you a holiday, then they take it back.  They did this even in public (not for profit) schools.  I always figured it was something to do with their 'commie' upbringing.  School (public) I am at now is so disorganised when it comes to scheduling, that who knows how this holiday will go down.

Funny thing is, according to my Senior HS students, a lot of students in this city won't even get DB off,,,, they are scheduled for GaoKao during DB holiday !!  haha,,, suckers! indecision

I just didn't believe it, because the calendar says ... but search over Yahoo-gle gave me:

'DBF falls on May 30th ...' but other one says:

2017May 30May 28 - 30

Bank holidays for DBF are from May 28 till May 30th and I was 'no show' this PM.

Was really pissed, 'cause I gave rep FEC on May 2nd for cancellation with detailed explanations what he must do.

Last 3 days, I am looking for FEC cancel cert. and ... rep sent me text today: 'Are you sure you want to cancel your FEC?'

FEC ended up in some drawer and now 1/2 of China at my School are saving 'face' with lying and BS excuses.

Need SAFEA next working day ....again!

School must: 1. Take me to PSB on June 1st for 30-days RP extension grant; 2, Give me FEC cancel cert,; 3. Pay May's salary and flight ticket bonus; 4. Give me Release letter.

"I've been 'water-boarded' in Bijie, Guizhou, China! 2017" .... will be logo on my new T-shirt!

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
