anyone tried the new one plus one phone? im a bit of a gadget geek. I ve got an iphone 5s and i have to admit after trying a friends one plus one i was almost jealous. better camera than the iphone 6 plus, higher antutu benchmark than the samsung s5 by a large margin, premium build quality and all for a few thousand rmb cheaper.
The One Plus One is a killer, in fact most Android flagships are way above the Iphone 6/6plus and the same was true for the 5/5s.
Some of the best Android flagships as of now are the HTC M8, the One Plus One, the Xiaomi 4, the Oppo Find 7, the Sony Xperia Z3, ... all of these phones are better than the new Apple's Iphone un terms of design or hardware, and cheaper. I used to be a big Apple fan but in the recent years especially since Job passed away they have been joking around while the concurrence made some serious progresses.
Make your choice
They are dumping phones for market share.
Samsungs rank higher on the antutu list.
dokken:
The only Samsung that scores higher is the note 4. It is 4000 rmb dearer. Even the most biased against the chinese have to admit its one hell of a smartphone for the price

We're obviously looking at different lists.
I can't imagine buying an HTC cuz my friend has so many problems with his. I bought a local smart phone my first year here and it was unusable within 8 months. Why bother?
To each his own.
dokken:
Correction the samsung alpha is higher too. http://www.antutu.com/en/view.shtml?id=7959. You might be right. maybe long term they would breakdown. come to think of it i bought a cheap coolpad phone when i had little money and that didnt last long. figured maybe i was just unlucky. though decided i'mgoing to take a punt on a one plus one and see if it lasts
bill8899:
That's where I looked.
OK, try a Coolpad. Heard nothing but complaints about those, too.
You can have a super fly super fast phone, but when the charger connection
breaks, for example, you have a pain in the neck.
Anyway to each his own.
Don't buy Chines made phones, I've had so many students complain about always going to have them repaired for odd and weird problems. Speaker, mic, screen going blank, not being able to receive calls, weird stuff
bill8899:
All that. Myriad problems. A potpourri of problems! They're cheap until you must buy another. Then it breaks ... They're actually not cheap cuz you gotta buy another, and another, and fix it, and fix ..
I actually own an international version and I have to say, besides a few bugs it is definitely a great phone. It sells here for 2249RMB for the 64gb version (without cyanogenmod) and uses colourOS (used on OPPO phones) which is also pretty good but lacks google play store and other google apps.
The build quality is very good and the size is big enough for watching movies on the go, I'd definitely recommend it over the xiaomi 4 or HTC one m8. The battery is great, lasts me 2 days usage with about 7 hours screen on time per charge. My brother owns the HTC one m8 and loves it, but the camera is lackluster (4.1 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel selfie camera?!?). If you buy the Oneplus in China its covered by a 1-year warranty as long as you don't root it.
Id' get the Meizu MX4 if I was shopping phones at this moment.
Yeh seems cool...I'm just not a fan of big phones...My HTC One S still works fine (2 years now)...but if I have to buy one (around 4.5'') I'd probably get a SONY Z3 Compact...everyone's praising it. Not a big fan of the design though, prefer HTC Mini 2 for that.
