Well, do you know the average pay for part time jobs per hour? I don't know how much it is where you live, but it's always safe to say a price higher than what he wants. Then he will tell you the maximum he's willing to pay, or he might bargain it down. It's worse to start with pay that's too low, which would be difficult to get it higher. What are you happy being paid?
5000 a month its in his best intrest to send and be able to corespond in the language he his dealing with so 5000 for him is very little
For part time, I set my hourly rate between 100 (western China) to 250 (Hangzhou, but also any of the richer eastern cities would be about the same I reckon).

I think this sounds about right! (remember to include an HOURLY charge, and not part hourly... ie. 15 mins is still 1 hour; and 1:15 is 2 hours)
You must be realistic. He's not going to give your huge salary because you are not the only one who can write and speak Spanish. You should charge him a fair hourly rate. .

I find it interesting that at least 5 persons find the advise to offer a fair hourly price as negative ...
I charge 250/hour for part time teaching, small groups, per person. If VIP it can go up very quickly.
For face jobs (being a white face during an event) it's 1000 per half day.
I can also be a part time boyfriend for Chinese girls, 500/hour for basic service, tolerate sajiao for 250 more per hour.
Make sure it is a fair salary for both of you. I wouod suggest that you both agree to a written contract that clearly defines your standard working hours. Be sure to have a part about being paid for overtime. If you are salary based the boss will try and screw you by giving you 30 hours overtime a day. Along with the story, it needs to be done today because I need it for tomorrow. DO NOT let him brush the issue aside! It MUST be in the contract.
