This place is as nice as Sanya without the high cost and crowds. Unlike Xia Men it has clean water beaches and the same great warm weather. The beach is almost a mile long. Can you guess where? Hint... It is South of Shanghai and Qingdao.
I'd be guessing it was a bar somewhere. Perhaps they had lovely cold beer on tap and the cricket was on the telly.
If it was paradise like then you were probably able to sit outside in the shade and there was some agreeable live music being played. And you were with yourbest mate.
How'd I go?
Doesn't every Chinese city have a beach on a river? Subic Bay, Philippines?
Nope... North of Xia Men. Keep trying, an dit has to do more with clean air, water, and beaches than bars. And the people are friendly like Shandong ren. And the babes have skin as smooth as ceramic.
Scandinavian:
@Ted. Bumpy skin can be a side effect of too much Burger King food
And then you woke up all wet....

It could be Putuoshan, but I don't believe it even if I see it.
My white sand beach is 20km long......no people.... beer available.... jetski....clean clear water.... south of Guangzhou and north of Haikou. Dong Hai Dao.
Paradise.
China.
Just those 2 words coexisting in one sentence or dream, is a sign of BS.
Good try . waiting for your next shower of Questions tomorrow ...
My guess is Bei Hai?

Most of Zhanjiang is a dump....personally I think you're better heading direct south of Taishan to some of the small villages with beaches. My favourite is a small village called Shazui cun which Google maps can't even find! Naqin is the nearest searchable "town". Quiet little place with a 400 metre long beach. Western end is a dirty fishing village, eastern end is kept quite clean (by Chinese standards!) by the villages who have built small guest houses with rooms for about 150 kuai a night and reasonably priced sea-food.
i'd love to know where the OP is referring to though. :-)
Don't reveal it, you idiot! Then all those white honky laowais will flock to there abd ruin that place, just like they do everywhere else in the world
