Have you ever left China, for any reason, and been undecided about whether or not you would return?
If so, did you? Didn't you?
Anyhow, cheers mates....I'll chuck another shrimp on the barby for yers!

Have fun on your 350k ride in that black cab mate! And the barby too!
We aren't going back until the wife is a U.S. citizen. So... 2016?
Take care man.
I'm already planning my escape. Don't think I'll be coming back for a while, we'll see.
You will probably end up wanting to come back after 6 months, it happened to me that way but who knows, fresh air and clean food might keep you home longer. Enjoy!
Best wishes and safe travel. Many thanks for sharing. Whatever and wherever the future and destiny enjoy!
I left 2 times, 2 weeks each. It felt really good, but I had to return for job & family reasons. I plan to leave, but now China is part of my life, of myself. I'm married to a Chinese, and we will have kids... those kids will have half of their roots in China, the other half in Europe. They will visit the Chinese side of the family, and speak Chinese. Work relationships are in China. So, will return to visit and even few months stays are likely to happen
Say goodbye, my own true lover
As we sing a lover's song
How it breaks my heart to leave you
Now the carnival is gone
High above, the dawn is waking
And my tears are falling rain
For the carnival is over
We may never meet again
Like a drum, my heart was beating
And your kiss was sweet as wine
But the joys of love are fleeting
For Pierrot and Columbine
Now the harbor light is calling
This will be our last goodbye
Though the carnival is over
I will love you till I die
Like a drum, my heart was beating
And your kiss was sweet as wine
But the joys of love are fleeting
For Pierrot and Columbine
Now the harbor light is calling
This will be our last goodbye
Though the carnival is over
I will love you till I die
Though the carnival is over
I will love you till I die
Lucky bastard! Going to Oz, then?
Throw some immigration advice on that barby while you're at it!
I went back to see my mom in the US once for about 2 weeks. I'm not sure how long I've been in Asia (se & e), but I think it's been around 11 years or a bit more now. I'm maybe different than some on here and not different than some others, in that I don't really have anything/place to go 'home' to.
so... I'll just keep listening to the Eagles..... and Take it Easy
fare thee well mate, fare thee well~
i am back home and enjoying the fresh air
hope your journey was a good one
I'll be back in China some day.........
shrimp? I thought you guys were tough, throw a gator on.
I'm home, don't want to be or do what l have to. I'll be back in China but China doesn't want me,1 Yr 35 day?? I want a place to retire in, it probably won't be China. BTW I hate home.
Enjoy sanity for awhile. You know, dishes of food that have more meat than bones. No seemingly endless hordes of people waiting around for god knows what? Of course just to name a few, I would hate for this site to serve as a book of counted sorrows suffered by us. However it feels good to vent and hear that someone got out of here. I know we as humans forget as a tool for moving on in life, but try to remember China like it is, not just the good memories. I think even if you get tired of home there are plenty of other countries out there to explore besides China. Why not give them a try? Maybe you'll like one of those countries even more than China. Anyway, enjoy the comfort of home.
Finally you are going to cross the great firewall of China...
