Q: Role of the family going down in China?

China's always been so centralized and family oriented, but I've heard that with the increase in wealth and with both men and women working, many couples in China have decided not have children and to focus on their careers.

Is this the beginning of the end for the typical idea we have of the Chinese family?

I'm not sure about that. I know a lot of rich Chinese and most of them just want the one child policy gone so they can have more children, on the other hand they pass the buck of responsibilty to babysitters and their parents. Sounds like the west yes

China is changing……
My brother doesn't want child, he said one is too many. We will all die young, food is not safe to eat, radiation all over the place, education is all ways be the problem……
Or maybe people just get more selfish, no time and mood for child.
