I don't mean the usual suspects like cars, buses and horns....I am referring to the open air KTV's and tunes blasting from every store front. I am siting at my desk and can see and hear the most annoying KTV public singing exhibition I have ever heard. What's the point of all this? Do they really believe that if they make a loud noise they will sell more product? (Having said that, it may actually work on the locals!)
I hear the same beating tune and talking coming from many stores, don't know what it says. I think it might draw them, like TV puts women in a trance here. Its all mind control, I'm starting to worry that the natives might really be some form of zombies. f-o-r-e-i-n-e-r-s
derek:
Yes, zombies, that sounds about right. If a simple noise can attract them and force them into parting with their money, it says volumes about their ability to decipher and analyze reason.
I live on the edge of town, so the only noise pollution I get is from cars on the road and construction...and the noise from chickens and roosters. I hate those roosters.
TedDBayer:
I love roosters and cows in the morning.I'm in a city and there are rooster evry where in front of restaurants. I her them every morning. Don't think I'd want cows in the city, have enough problem watchig where i step.
The only music I hear blazing around where I'm at is the Barber Shop. They blast their music as loud as possible to attract attention and they also stand outside and sing and dance so at least people will look in the direction of their business. As far as the KTV goes the closest KTV around me is 12 stories high in a shopping mall so I wouldn't be able to hear any singing being displayed by amateur Karaoke singers. LOL!
