Oh yeah... there's been so many dinners where the kid of a well off family runs around causing chaos without the parents even batting an eye.

Because it's a sign that you have money if you don't discipline your kid.

Oh yes.....that's for sure....

You want some examples:
If living with the parents:
1) unable to clean their sheet by themselves, always need baba mama.
2) unable to peel some fruits by themselves, always baba mama do it for them
3) unable to do laundry, clean the apartment, always baba mama do it for them.
4) unable to cook by themselves, always baba mama do it for them.

When eating out, they will often consider waitress like shit and ask them this and that.
When strolling in the park, they will often litter without any consideration for others.
When just graduated and looking for a job, they pretend immediately a very high salary.
When working, they have the idea that they don't need for their salary, but that salary will come automatically to them.

How many stories I hear from my wife about her friends, etc..... One has a child and when she has to change the diapers, she will ask her mother to do it.
Another one feels to lazy to cook, so she asks her mother to cook for both her and the child....

The 80's and on generations are the worst generations you can find, especially those children raised in big cities or in families able to live a bit higher than the standard.

It's not only at the age period between 20-30, it's also start when they are very young.....The parents and grand-parents will always be there to clean all their shit and do everything for them. Have you ever seen a Chinese teenager working to get a bit of money.... How many teenagers in Europe or in US work to either pay their tuition fees or save to go on holidays....

So yes, they are spoilt children as much as "little emperors".

When I taught kids at a fancy private school, I had grade sixers - about twelve years old - who had their mothers hold cups for them, spoon feed them, tie their shoes, button their shirts.

Everyone in that expensive-ass school thought they were gods amongst men, and couldn't understand why I wasn't picking them as a favourite. Absolute nightmare trying to organize a classroom.

Adults in their twenties are marginally better. They can tie their shoes or else have velcro shoes. Also, they know how to drink for themselves and do so, heavily, around 10AM on a work day.

I was on the Guangzhou metro last night and there was a woman with her young son. He was misbehaving, she corrected him, and he reached out a pinched her cheeks and tried to grab her nose. She stopped him and then he tried to choke her before she popped him. It totally blew me away. That's just one of the many examples of Little Emperor Syndrome I've seen here. 

Absolutely! Just observe when on the street or bus, or... best way to observe when you are invited to a family's home a few times. Children growing up these days have been spoiled by their family - because of being grandchildren, also the one-child policy even more. Even teenagers and young adults [?] still stomp their feet, throw temper tantrums.

Not only yes, but "hell, yes!"

The other day we were in a resturant, and there were three kids running around the diners. It looked like they were playing tag. Not one person said a thing. I've seen kids climbing on booths, turning chairs upside down, yelling at their parents; basically throwing fits in public.

You can see the same attitude in some of the grown ups. They were given everything they wanted as a child, and they still expect it as a young adult!

 As we all know we are coming up on 7 billion people on the planet. The next wars are not going to be about Muslim extremists, or communist expansion, it’s going to be about food, water and arable land. That storm is  coming kids, as Bettie Davis said in that old movie “fasten your seatbelts because it’s going to be a bumpy ride”.

The commie oligarchy in China decided years ago on a one child policy, to reduce population and better distribute the limited resources, due to the rising tide of population especially in China . While it certainly had that effect, it left one child in a family with no competition from siblings or beat downs from older brothers or sisters. Compound that with doting grandmas, grandpas etc.,  and you have a formula for a perfect little demanding A hole, who demands everything on a silver platter and has never been required to stand on his own two feet like a man. That is the younger generation in China.

I was fortunate having married a 40 year old Chinese lady  that went thru the famines and knew how to drink bitterness along with the sweet.

The Chinese kids really are not that  different from the spoiled US or EU kids who expect the ‘gummit” to provide a job and have everything handed to them. Unlike the US/EU kids they are extremely patriotic IMO.
