Since they're building new residences and apartment complexes and offices left and right, is there a lot of pressure on home owners in old buildings to 'git' so they can tear the old and build up the new?
Are people fairly compensated when this happens? What happens if they refuse to leave?
They wouldn't have a choice the government makes those types of decisions. If they say to go you must go. Remember even if you purchase a home in China it's not yours forever the government will take it back and give you some type of compensation. A lot of the stuff that happens in China is regulated by the govt.
Yes mattaya is right.
To answer your question it's no,there is absolutely no pressure. When they want you out - you're out!
