Let me correct you here
USA has more personal freedoms - USA HAS personal freedom
USA has more chances to become super-rich - yeah, but you have to work for it, instead of just swindling your way to riches
USA has cleaner air and water (since all the industry has moved to China!) - USA has clean air and water not because the industry has moved, but because it has responsible environmental laws and an elected government would never be re-elected could they not provide these basic necessities to its people
Each country has equally dishonest governments - no it doesn't China has mass-murderers for leaders
China has the superior economy - no it doesn't China is in fact a poor country. You have to look at revenue generated per person
China has a better chance for an educated person to live comfortably, due to lower cost of living compared to salary - First of all it talks to US advantage that normal people, like factory workers, will still typically be able to afford a car and a place to live.
Please try not to be so wumaoish.
mArtiAn:
After Afghanistan and Iraq (not to mention that little stunt on 9/11), the US government has to take the 'mass murder' prize, if there's one being handed out.
Scandinavian:
I count casualties of pollution in this. The gubbermint could easily lower the pollution, all they need to do is curb their own greed
USA:
'Vegas
Yellowstone
In 'n Out Burger
White Castle
NYC hot dog w/ German mustard & steamed sauerkraut
proper Mexican food anywhere&everywhere (at least for those of us in the SW)
can basically count on the cops
1/1000000 of the horn-blasting
driving is a bit more orderly
can drink tap water
-some more I'm sure, just kinda distracted right now...
TedDBayer:
Boston/ New York style pizza, Philly steak and cheese, cheesecake and pie, How can there be no pie?
Con China: 700M girls in mini skirts.
diverdude1:
I basically lived on pizza during my few years in Brooklyn (Bay Ridge), we used to pay a dollar a slice... enuf for a meal, even if u were left a bit hungry. but being hungry back then was normal and good,,,, hunger = desire to not be hungry = desire to achieve. we thought only rich and pussies were full. lol. crazy world, eh ?
gotta say Pro: to all the hotties in China walking around in mini-skirts & short-shorts ! Airborne ! way to go, girls! keep it upNever lived in'murica - should probably try it sometime. But my honest opinion is China is better for young people (cheap living expenses, unusual opportunities and work experience, easy to "get some"), and US is better for anyone out of their 20s (financial security, genuine property ownership, functional legal system, ...).
america should have another decade of stagnant or little growth with the baby boom old timers costing a fortune, myself included. but after that decade, china will have the upside down umbrella of demographics and have to support a hell of lot of old timers also, so i probably have to move to back the states when the old farts are mostly dead and the old farts here in china started raising hell and wanting their handout. never thought i would live my life around taxes and economics, but hell, the quality of a debt free life is better than clean air.
@richirocks: Are you just some guy trying to practice your English? Can you read between the lines? Yes? Well then i don't really need to answer this question, right?
Matty I wish you would give it a rest for awhile . One day you will meet a nice Boy and he will take you back to his Planet ....I mean country
Well it is toss up which government is the most corrupt. The US is probably safer unless you live in New York or Cleveland or some other god forsaken US city. The air and water are better. But I must admit I think the US government is the most corrupt on the planet.
Young, single, unattached....China. The exception would be someone of a professional discipline who's talents are not appreciated nor rewarded properly in China.
More mature, married, family man/woman....USA. Mainly thinking of the welfare of your children with this one (non-tainted milk, health care beyond your basic IV drip, general level of sanitation, etc).
Over the hill, retired, and preferably unattached?....Philippines
Silva is back.

(Actually, this guy is worse than Silva. What a lack of imagination.)
