Q: Ving Tsun or Wing Chun?

Ving Tsun or Wing Chun?

Traditional Chinese Kung Fu what is maybe the most famous style around the world.
Why different names for the same chinese boxing style?

I have my theory, but always is good know what the people think about...

They don't look like different names to me, just different ways of writing the same name.

I think the first one is the Wade-Giles system of pinyin and the latter is the pinyin developed in the early 50s by the PRC. But im not sure if there is also some differences because of cantonese (since you said you are in HK).
