Are there any schools that will accept just TEFL and give you a Z visa? We do not want to work illegal. Also how does one find out what schools are legal and what are not. There are so many contradicting stories on the web. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks

Schools authorized to hire FT in China:
http://www.anesl.com/schools/info.asp?province=Shandong&keyword=College&...
Change 'province', and 'keyword' to desired School's level in the web link, and contact Schools directly.
You must have BA, TEFL and 2- years experience for Z visa. Exceptions for Z are probably possible.
Is it legal to work with another visa? I thought you only allowed to on Z visa? I tried the link but could not find anything. Any other help or ideas?
Thanks

'could not find anything'???? What are you looking for? In the weblink, you can find Public Schools authorized to sponsor Z visa for FT. If you are in China, visit Schools (Kindergartens, Training Schools, Public Schools) in person. No, it is not legal to work with any other visa. If School offer you to work under L or F, School will most likely take advantage of you, just because you aren't legal, and you cannot complain to the Government for mistreatment at the School.

So are you conjoined twins or someting? I saw a movie about this one time the actor was matt damon and some other funny guy. I guess if one has a dream the other must follow hence the 'We'!
How many of you are there???
There are plenty of job offers right here on echinacities.com... just take a look.
Just take a look and most job ads also list the requirement as to age, education, etc. You must have a regular work visa and do not
believe it when a school tells [all of] you that you should come to China on a tourist visa
and the school will get you a work visa later.
Also, be sure to ask as MANY questions as possible up front (and confirm in writing, even if it is only an email). I interviewed a couple of schools who fell at a few basic questions about their advertised position. Good luck !!
@ silva well done keep this up and I might start to like you ......................nahhh but good answer Don't forget to go to SEX IN CHINA ON A 30 VISA?
Would a private school for English for children in Fushun (Liaoning province) be something for you & you? I know the owner, a Chinese guy who is looking for one or two young female teachers for kids from 3 to 12 years old, preferably white (but there are no racists in China, don't get me wrong). His Filipino wife and two other Filipina's are his teachers now, but business is booming. He provides free housing and about 1500 USD a month, two days off each week. Native speakers or not, as long as your oral English is very good he'd be pleased. Be in touch if you're interested.

Fushun Kindergarten won't be able to get Working permit for Non-native English teacher. Liaoning and Sichuan are 2 provinces where English teacher must be from Native English speaking country to receive Working permit. Non-native teachers at Kindergarten in Fushun most likely hold 'wrong' visas.
However, PSB will extend Residence permit to Non-native English teacher.
Thank you for all the answers. There are three of us that wants to go over together. One of us has a degree. We have been offered a position for 6000 RMB with housing etc. Interview tomorrow so will ask all the questions needed. Regards
