i mean for locals on locals does the govt go after dads anf make them pay for their kids like they do in the states?
I just copy-paste what I have found on a website called "China Family Law".
"Where child support is a simple mathematical calculation under guidelines of the law, spousal support is very much in the discretion of the judge.
When deciding whether to grant spousal support, a judge will consider several factors of that. These differ usually involve things like the parties' relative ability to earn money, both now and in the future; their respective age and health; the length of the marriage; the kind of property involved, and the conduct of the parties. In general, about the only time a judge will award spousal support is where one spouse has been economically dependent on the other spouse for most of a lengthy marriage."
