Top 10 in population English speaking countries, as their main, and virtually only tongue .

1 United States 299,000,000 Native American and Hawaiian languages, are strong in some areas

2 England, 50,000,000

Don't you forget that Canada has 2 official languages: English and French! In Quebec province you can't expect everyone to speak English, especially in Quebec city. And according to wikipedia "The 2001 count noted that of 29,639,030 speakers, 20,014,645 spoke English only, and 5,231,575 spoke English and French, while 3,946,525 spoke French only and 446,920 who were classified as speaking "neither English nor French".

That was from wikipedia and it also said the year 2000 and that list is for countries with native speakers and english as a second language. The list I showed was all native and none as english as a second language.
