Q: What is the best Chinese bank to put your money in to collect interest?

What is the best bank to keep your money in to gain interest? I am going to deposit most of my money in a bank to save. Does anyone know the interest rate? For example how much interest would i collect a month on 10,000 yuan

Keep the money under your bed! Banks in China do not pay much interest and will usually charge you for handling your money in the way of a monthly account charge, if you invest a large amount (300k+) then you will probably be able to get some good deals but it would be an investment account and not a savings account.

I have several bank accounts here and I use them purely for convenience of paying bill and transferring money to people or paying online. When I'm paid I just take it all out and keep it in my drawer.

If you want to get a high interest account then either wait until you have more cash to invest or open a HSBC account here and in your country and transfer it back to your home country, then send it on to a high-interest account.
