This is in response to the question of what do you really dislike about China. There were many answers which made me think about why some people are staying here. So let's look at some positives.
Women, ladies and girls over 18. The food. My job. The history (pre 1949). China was a VERY cool place before then!
It‘s home……
We have an old saying.
"儿不嫌母丑,狗不嫌家贫", son is never disgusted with his mother,No matter how ugly she is, dog will never leave his owner, no matter how poor he is.
Njord:
Dog will never leave it's owner because dog inside owners belly!
nevermind:
And that's why this place is the way it is. Learn to CHANGE shit.
wenna is right . it is home forever, especially for our average chinese, maybe there are so many unfair things over this land made us anger. but we still hope to improve this country more better than ever.
Njord:
People like wenna7 are the ones that will keep China a backwards place...
wenna7:
At least I can do something, but u r a outsider, u can do nothing~ Njord, don't take that vitamin any more!
GoldenBoy:
Wenna, what can you do exactly? I believe 'outsiders' could probably do more than you. After all we shape the future of China teaching, culture among other things. You had your chance and now it is over. Your frustration shows and I feel sorry for you.
Food, friendliness, work, students, cigarettes, massages, historic places, beautiful girls, dinners, waitresses and the list goes on...
Sharing a bathroom with the entire neighborhood. It builds camaraderie!
The food, the "rawness" China has, and knowing that no two days are ever the same.
what i love about china is the cheap cost of living and great food
I absolutley love China, its a Great Country, with Great people. People showed me kindness that I will never forget. Long live China. There is always something to do in China, I always felt safe anywhere that I went.
The incredible number of beautiful women.
This is really a pleasure for the eyes....
The railway system, street food, Old towns, Guilin, beautiful girls, hospitality.
little outdoor markets, street food, mah jong, exploring the different parts of China, friendly locals, beautiful scenery, pandas, Yunnan province, Tibet
Food, the excitement and change of pace from my country that makes me feel alive, the hospitality others have shown me and how welcome they have made me feel, the great railway system and rail travel in general, the way people I know with a lot less money than me have been so generous at times and never tried to take advantage of me, the way some very rich people have extended their hospitality to me, the price of food cloths and beer, fake shit that makes me feel good by ripping off designer companies that make fortunes by praying on peoples egos, outdoor markets, street vendors and little Muslim resturants, Sichuan pepper, tanghulu, very polite and respectful children who just come up to me and speak so they can practice their English.
There seems to be more passion in the positives than the cynicism in the negatives. Hallelujah!
I think it is just the difference in everything. You have constant input, so nothing is boring. I really enjoyed the hot weather. I came home it was 11*, got down to 7* last night.
A sea of Guilin women to watch.
The thing I love most about China are the people. Hehehe so innocent, bless them
