Q: When Bob Dylan wrote "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall" do you think he envisioned a present day China?
So this song came on my iPod the other day, and it's been years since I've heard it though it really struck a chord. Lines such as:
I saw a new born baby with wild wolves all around it
I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin'
I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken
I heard the sound of a poet who died in the gutter
Where the people are many and there hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their rivers
etc etc
Anyway there's a few apocalyptic analogies in their that made me think of modern day China. Just thought I'd like to share that and any thoughts are welcome!
