What city do you live in? All the first tier city, and most of the second tier ones have an import store or two these days. Metro has branches all across China and they sell imported products from the u.s., but mainly in bulk. Carrefour also have an import aisle, usually.

Carrefour is quite the place to go really. Choice is not bad at all, and it's a nice change from the street markets!

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do. I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system. -- Natalie363
