I love Yangshuo about an hour from Guilin and go there every chance I get. I highly encourage a stay at a hostel outside of the city for maximum relaxation!

I'm in Guilin, lots of nice parks. I really want to take another motorized raft to Yangshuo, that was cool.

if you are in shanghai, try Ye's Park (yangpu district, not far from Fudan University)... it is supposed to have the best rockery park scene in shanghai and is very quiet with only a very few people. first time i went there i could believe it, but its true!!!
