Q: Why are Chinese shoe laces longer than the standard ones?
UK formal shoe laces are 2.5 cm shorter than Chinese similar size shoe laces. What is the benefit?
I would like to know where you come up with these mind blowing facts. It would never occur to me to compare shoe laces according to country of origin or measure them.

And why are they always losing themself and force me to tighten them up several times during my walk to bus :( ? ?

Maybe the english are really really good shoe tying people and need less length to get the same knot. Where the chinese are still developing the culture for shoe tying.

Coz we are Chinese and we need to make Chinese knots with our shoe laces.

So you know if you want to truly blend in. Details are very important.

I just wanted to replace shoe laces once on some Western shoes. I went looking for the same length Chinese laces, and I couldn't find any.
Since then, always when I purchase new shoes in West, I also get two pairs of spare laces.

i still dont understand wearing a belt that wraps half around to the back of your pants again with a suit, or stripe ties on stripe shirts, contrast along with maintenance must be deleted from dictionaries here.

yeah the belt thing is a pet peeve I have with the locals as well.
like for gods sake get a belt that fits or adjust the one you have. It's not like you need fancy tools to shorten a belt usually a screwdriver does the deed and then you don't look like a fool.

I got 2 real leather, thick jeans belts, right size (some 15cm longer than my waist size) few years ago in Nanjing GAP for 120 Rmb each.
I'm not sure, what was the bigger 'bargain': 'price' or the 'real leather'.
