Q: anybody get the story about the tiger eating chinese for lunch yesterday?

apparently on weibo, some tiger ate a tourist yesterday who tried to sneak in the park without paying and of course his fellow harmonious citizens did a video of the carnage on their phones for the whole country to enjoy.

anybody got details.

How long before someone says the tiger needs to be put down?

7 billion humans. Only a few thousand tigers (BECAUSE of the 7 billion humans!!!)

I know which life matters more!

(and it ain't the arsehole cheapskate who tried to jump a fence... or antagonise a tiger!!)

retiredinchina:

they did not have any guns or tranquilizer guns available for 30 minutes, four tigers involved, apparently one tiger was killed by police that tore his neck off, the rest will probably get detention and reeducation for 10 days.

Taking bets... how long before the family tries to sue the zoo?

retiredinchina:

maybe he had a bad mother-in-law, in which case he should have let her go in first.enlightened

Maybe it was the mother in law that drove him to it, he'd rather take his chances with a tiger than spend more time with her.

It's still on the Shanghaiist website. Not sure if that's a Chinese run site or not.

Can't blame the tiger's, that's probably the best meal they've had in years.

That was fast...

There's an update to the story on the Shanghaiist.

The family is saying the zoo should be held partly accountable (in other words give us money) for 'giving the guy the opportunity to climb over the fence'.

it's a shame that no white tigers were involved, he could have been an offering.

reminds me of stringy tar tar, a tribe eaten by the Huns during the middle ages, I wonder if all those chinese literature books of outlaws killing tigers was on his mind when he jumped into the danger zone, maybe he should have read the English version of "outlaws of the marsh".

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
