Q: Anybody on here that's in Beijing representing the United States of America or Canada?

Want to connect with my fellow North American peers prior to me coming over there.

I am from Canada. I am still debating whether I should accept an seo position from a social media consulting company in Beijing. Why you choose Beijing?

runp44:

Well, It was either Beijing or Shanghai. Secondly, the company that I'll be working with offered me a position at their Beijing office, so I took it.

I'm not living in Beijing but i am a travel addict. One day I could be in Zhuhai and the next day in Ji'an or Hefei, or Beijing. literally half the month, I am traveling. Send me a private message if you want to hook up.

A: Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever
A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
