For those not using VPN's, I was wondering, has Google been working for the past few days? I've used it sort of casually for the most part of the year, but for the last 2 days Google hasn't even opened up once. I wonder what's going on with that?
Grrr!
Google is not working much for me these days either. I have tried the link that Hulk posted (http://74.125.200.160/) but even that only works sporadically. It might be because of the service provider but it seems that China is cracking down on Google these days.

Something is going on. Yesterday, it opened few times in Chinese only, without possibility to change to English. Today, it directed me to gmail log on site, and when I log on, it wouldn't open. Message: 'Safari can't access the website'
SwedKiwi1:
I often get the same problem when trying to log on to my Hotmail account. It is a bit of hit and miss when it comes to actually accessing my e-mails there. As for Google that is still down.

If you are using a smartphone, Google will conditionally work. So, you MAY get to Google if you enjoy watching paint drying, but on the search engine, a lot of links will not work or just expire. Gmail APP doesn't work on my phone (or friends) until you get a mod and de-Chinafy it. I can get to my gmail through the phone, but reading it can cause errors sometimes. Astril VPN works great.
The way to get Google to work (without a VPN) is to log on to sina.com and search for Google.ca or Google.au and when it pops up iin the search results, click on the link. For some reason it works much faster this way than if you simply type google.com into the search bar of your your browser. Why? I don't know really.
