"Ready to blow psycho?" I don't think patiently waiting while Icnf77 recites, verbatim, an entire article from zerohedge.com makes somebody psycho, but yeah, icnf77 will definitely blow that guy afterwards.
His English was better than average (which means, "not great"), but to say "clever and articulate" would be a bit far fetched.
I mean, all he did was recite the classic propaganda with all the lines we only heard a thousand times then bail out at first sight of contradiction.

Trolls get old fast. icnif used to be cute but now he's just plain annoying.

I think icnif is a bit of a conspiracy nutjob type. just doesn't get that stuff isn't important to us.
Personally my problem with those zerohedge type of sites, that they say tons of shit. But usually it's just their spin angle that the whole system is going to collapse any day now. i.e. the Ruble appreciates against the dollar and some 'tyler durden' writes how that is yet another sign of the coming apocolypse.
and then every now and then they're either right by accident, or some whistleblower within a company uses it as a platform.
Even if they ARE right about the ruble or whatever, they're not right because they are smart or informed they're right cause they say the same thing every day and then the day that thing is relevant makes you forget the 2000 days it wasn't.
My issue with icnif is that he has a million problems and is very vocal about giving advice. Yeah theres tons of shitty jobs here in China, but I know way too many people who do really well here to believe it's just the system rigged.
But that doesn't make him a troll. Just someone I disagree with.
To me a troll is somebody who intentionally wants to upset people or is pushing some kinda personal agenda.
Like i think gatoloco is totally a troll. Icnif wants to engage with us were just generally not interested haha

He is not a troll, he is usually nice and he has his moments of clarity. He also has those periods of paranoid hysteria where he dumps random crap with the speech pattern of a schizophrenic. He will go through that like he did before...

I think icnif adds colour. I don't think he's a troll. His rant about dokken and Hotwater was strange. He might be a card carrying member of the tin foil hat brigade. As long as he doesn't say vaccinations are bad or that GWB did 9/11 then he's okay.

I see totally where 9/11 helped their agendas along of certain people.
But I chalk that up to "never waste a good crisis". This horrible thing happened and then people would support things they wouldn't have before.
The conspiracy theory I never understood was the moon landing one. I mean it was an impressive technical feet, but the hardest parts are just blasting off earth and then landing again. The rest is just using smaller rockets well to point yourself at a moon.
But it's all just rockets, I think most people can agree we can launch satellites and space shuttles and stuff. A moon mission is that same technology just applied to a more complex task.
It's not like in 1969 they magically said "hey we invented warp drive!"
I think it's way more plausible that it's actually pretty hard to stop terrorist attacks and even if it's not that govt agencies are full of fuck ups who aren't good at things. Than to believe that those same fuck ups could somehow all keep a massive secret.
Icniff is ok. He just goes a bit awol in summer because he is non native speaker and he probably stuggles to secure a legal job for next term. I have spoken to him on the phone... his spoken English is fine.... way way better than a Texan redneck... for example.
Icniff was wrong to say people are telling lies. But he is probably under massive pressure at the moment.... on his way to Pakistan possibly?

Well that's kinda my point with him. He chooses to work in an industry where he'll have problems getting a decent job because he's not a native speaker. It'll be really stressful, but then he gets a job and is really fussy and difficult.
Gets all prideful about how he's "not going to take it up the ass" like everyone who doesn't lose jobs must be doing. And then loses jobs. So it's somehow more honorable to (probably) live off of parents (or not work at all) than to work under substandard conditions. That's a shit attitude.
If he keeps having problems with provided apartments and internet and shit...why not get his own apartment with the bills in his name? Or if he can't afford to at the moment, suck it up at a shitty job for a while so he can execute a plan to get into a stable low-stress situation.
Yeah Icniff is ok, I don't see him as being a troll. I'm not interested in most of the stuff he copy and pastes but that doesn't mean anything,I'm just not that interested in that stuff in general so I don't read it.
He's almost always there to help people answer their questions with his yahoogle links so his heart is in the right place I reckon.

You know that those examples aren't actually considered 'trolls'. The first is a spammer. The second is a PITA... but not a troll.
Trolls are supposed to create mischief by presenting antagonistic viewpoints to get people riled up - and with no real argument (and lots of emotive and personal attacks).
It's funny you mentioning the grammar thing - when posting an answer about the grammar of Baidu :p
