Q: Where in Beijing are great nightclubs?

Been here for 2 months now. I can't seem to find too many fun activities to engage in on the weekends. Anyone know???

chaoyang district near tubestation at the workers stadium. there is a mcdonalds near the bar street. avoid vics too expensive. walk out of the worker's stadium turn right. you will see mcdonalds across the street after 5-10 mins of walking. the bar district will be on the streets to the left-back of mcdonalds

there are many bars and clubs there. bar hop and find some place that sells cheap drinks. on a good night you shouldnt have pay any entrance fees unless you want to see  fake strippers

The people behind the hugely popular club White Rabbit recently opened a new club on Guanghua Lu called Haze. It's gotten good reviews so far and they seem to be able to pull in big-name DJs. I've been clubbing in Beijing many years now and have never heard of the last 4 clubs on Mattaya's list above so I wouldn't go there if I were you. Also, "The Opposite House" on Mattaya's list is not a club but a hotel. On the basement level however, you'll find a popular club called Punk.

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
